Types of tectonic structures.

There are two types of tectonic structures:

1) Tectonically stable areas / platforms. It is the main element in the structure of the mainland, with a small probability of earthquakes, it is mainly a plain.

2) Tectonically mobile areas. As a rule, these are younger areas with a characteristic mountainous relief, where there is a constant movement of the earth’s crust.
