Robert Hooke was an outstanding physicist and inventor of his day. He studied optical and thermal laws. He was engaged in the study and creation of various optical lenses. Thanks to his research, he was able to improve the microscope. Hooke got the ability to focus and high optical magnification. Thanks to this, Hooke also became a biologist, since with the help of his device he was the first to see and describe a living cell, a sperm and an egg.
