Castile and Aragon are kingdoms located on the Iberian Peninsula and later formed Spain in a practically modern form. Castile occupied the territory in the center of the peninsula and the entire northern coast. Also Castile had access to the sea and on the southern coast. The kingdom’s western and southern neighbors were Portugal and Granada. And in the east, Castile bordered with Aragon. The territory of Aragon occupied the entire eastern coast of the peninsula and extended north to the Pyrenees, where it bordered on the Kingdom of France.
