Using the reaction equation 2Cu + O2 = 2CuO, calculate the mass of copper oxide (2), which is formed when copper, taken in sufficient quantities, interacts with 11.2 liters of oxygen.

2Cu + O2 = 2CuO
find the amount of oxygen
n (O2) = 11.2 / 22.4 = 0.5 mol
since we multiply copper oxide by coefficients twice as much by 2
n (CuO) = 0.5 * 2 = 1 mol
and from here we find its mass
m (CuO) = 1 * 80 = 80g
