Vegetation and animals of the Ural mountains.

The flora and fauna of the Ural Mountains are quite diverse. In the zone of the Polar Urals, there is not much vegetation, mainly lichens, undersized shrubs and grasses prevail. Such animals typical of polar latitudes as lemmings, reindeer, arctic foxes, white owls, wolves, and ptarmigan live. To the south, in the taiga zone, mountain-taiga forests grow, represented by pines, spruce, fir, cedars, larch trees, and animals such as bears, wolves, sables, wolverines, martens, chipmunks, and lynx live. In the south of the Ural Mountains, in the temperate zone, you can find the usual trees for this zone: oaks, birches, lindens, maples, poplars and other species. From animals marmots, squirrels, gophers, foxes, ferrets, wolves and others.
