Viruses do not reproduce by division, budding, or any other cellular method. They are not characterized by one of the manifestations of life – the process of growth. So what is a virus: a chemical or a living being?

Viruses are living organisms, but they are different from other life forms. First of all, these are non-cellular life forms. They begin to show signs of life only when they enter the host’s body. They begin to feed and reproduce. Also, viruses, like any other living organisms, have DNA information. It is surrounded by a protein coat. This is what unites viruses with other kingdoms of living nature. But do not forget that viruses are a special life form that had its own evolutionary development paths.
