Was / is the dissolution of marriage possible in the Lutheran Church? Why?

Protestants – Lutherans believe that marriage was the first institution proclaimed by God: “Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and cleave to his wife; and the two will be one flesh.” Two united by marriage are parts of each other, a single whole, and, accordingly, are a brick in the foundation of the church. Therefore, marriage is an indissoluble union, not made on earth. By breaking up a marriage, people go against the will of God. Divorce is not possible.
