Was there a difference between slavery in Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome?

For the Romans, every foreigner was associated with a slave, since Rome conquered many lands and foreign residents formed the basis of slavery. At the same time, the Greeks considered the barbarian peoples to be an inferior race that could be used as slaves. The ancient Romans had exactly the same views. Even Cicero himself wrote in his writings that some races were destined to be turned into slaves.
