Constants and variables: ρw is the density of the aquarium water (ρw = 1000 kg / m3); g – acceleration due to gravity (g ≈ 10 m / s2); ha – the height of the aquarium (ha = 32 cm = 0.3 m); Δh is the height between the edge of the aquarium and the surface of the water (Δh = 2 cm = 0.02 m).

Let’s make a calculation: P = ρw * g * (ha – Δh) = 1000 * 10 * (0.32 – 0.02) = 3 * 103 Pa.

Answer: Aquarium water creates a pressure of 3 kPa at the bottom.
