The most common disease caused by roundworms is ascariasis. The way of infection with ascaris eggs is through the gastrointestinal tract, more precisely, through the human mouth. Worm eggs can get into the mouth:
– through dirty hands;
– through unwashed vegetables and fruits;
– through any products on which the fly managed to sit.
Ascaris eggs are well preserved in the external environment.
Control measures:
– observance of cleanliness of hands and products;
– preventive medical examinations with an analysis of worm eggs;
– treatment of patients.
