Let’s make the following entry:

Let’s make the proportion:
15: 60 = 12.3: x.
In terms of the main proportion, the product of its extreme members is equal to the product of averages:
15x = 60 * 12.3;
15x = 738;
x = 738: 15;
x = 49.2.
We find that x = 49.2 kg – the mass of 60 liters of kerosene.
Method 2.
1) 12.3: 15 = 0.82 kg – the mass of one liter of kerosene.
2) 0.82 * 60 = 49.2 kg – the mass of 60 liters of kerosene.
