What actions should be taken in Africa to reduce drought-related disasters?

In my opinion, in order to reduce the harm from drought in Africa, it is necessary to reduce deforestation in the central part of the continent, where almost all of Africa’s large rivers originate. It is also necessary to reduce the number of cattle in the savannahs, since, due to its huge amount, the grass does not have time to recover and the desert continues to occupy new territories. Instead, more reservoirs can be built on rivers, which would be beneficial for both nature and humans.
