What adaptations do all parasitic worms have?

Parasitic worms are found among representatives of flat worms (tapeworms, flukes), roundworms (roundworms, pinworms). In connection with the parasitic lifestyle, they have developed a number of adaptations:

– extraordinary fertility;

– complex life cycles (in flatworms – with a change of host);

– lack of sense organs;

– accumulation of glycogen, because they receive energy as a result of glycolysis, that is, without the use of oxygen;

– flatworms have attachment organs – suckers, hooks.
