What adaptations do insects have for life?

There are many types of insects. Scientists count about three million insects. They all have their own characteristics and adaptations. Some insects have wings to travel long distances and find food. Some have special organs for capturing the victim. Many species mimic the appearance and behavior of other insects for protection from predators. Many insects are brightly colored to warn birds about their danger and poisonousness. Almost any part of the body or organ of insects is their adaptation to the environment.
