What adaptations do plants have for capturing sunlight?

Light is the main condition for photosynthesis. Therefore, the cells of photosynthetic tissue contain the green pigment chlorophyll.
In order for light to enter the leaf cells enough, the plants have developed the following adaptations:
– phototropism – turning the leaves in the direction of the light source;
– various methods of leaf arrangement, in which the leaves practically do not shade each other;
– leaf mosaic in trees and shrubs (different leaf sizes);
– a basal rosette in herbaceous plants with a short shoot.
