What adaptations to food absorption are found in animals?

Animals have various adaptations for absorbing food. Many animals have teeth for grinding food and digesting them further. These animals include most mammals, including humans. Some animals can swallow prey whole – this is the snake swinging. They have such a structure of the mouth apparatus that they can swallow a very large animal. Spiders have external digestion.
