What and how much, from the point of view of a molecular biologist, are human and banana related?

Modern science does not stand still, but is constantly evolving and offers more and more interesting and sometimes funny information. For example, what can a person and a banana have in common? It would seem nothing, but it is not. Human DNA and banana DNA match 50%. Of course, one should not think that a banana evolves, or that a person becomes similar to this fruit, but the very fact of similarity remains.
