What animals can be called soil formers?

Representatives of the animal kingdom play an important role in the formation and enrichment of the soil. They consume and destroy organic matter from green plants. By right, earthworms are considered the main soil formers. Moves that put worms in the soil improve aeration and water permeability. Also, worms convert minerals into a form available to plants. Along with worms, examples of soil-forming animals are: predatory larvae of beetles, springtails, woodlice, rodents and many others.
