What animals did the ancient chordates come from?

It is now known that the closest relatives of vertebrates are tunicates. Chordates belong to the bilateral group, namely the deuterostome; there are also protostomes. During the Ediacaran period, about 543-549 million years ago, Ernietta (Genus of animals) was already clearly a deuterostome. The first two close to chordates known to mankind were echinoderms (Exclusively marine benthic animals) and semi-chordates. At the moment, there are more than 7,000 species of echinoderms. Accordingly, it can be said that chordates descended from the Ernietta clan.
