Biological systems are characterized by basic properties:
1) Metabolism – any biological system is an open system.
2) Self-reproduction with change, i.e. capable of reproducing its own kind.
3) Consist of biosystems of a lower level and are included in a system of a higher level.
4) Self-sufficiency, i.e. has everything you need for a long existence.
