What are conifers for?

Man uses conifers primarily for construction, since conifers are characterized by straight trunks, but this type of wood is not particularly valuable. Many conifers are used as an element in garden design. Many useful substances are prepared from their resin, and the hardened resin – amber, is highly valued in jewelry. But we should not forget that conifers produce a huge amount of oxygen, much more than other types of trees, so they are an important element of our ecosystem.
