What are directional bodies, what is the meaning of their formation?

Directional bodies (polar bodies) are bodies formed as a result of meiotic division of the oocyte of the 1st order, in the process of oogenesis (the process of oocyte formation). After division, a 2nd order oocyte is formed, where all nutrients are transferred, and a primary polar body, consisting of a nucleus and a small amount of cytoplasm.
Further, one large egg cell is formed from the 2nd order oocyte, and two secondary polar bodies are formed from the primary polar body.
Guide bodies are used to evenly distribute chromosomes during meiosis.
