What are genotype and phenotype? What is the difference between them?

Genotype is a combination of all hereditary factors – genes of an individual organism, acquired from parents.

A phenotype is a combination of internal and external properties that are expressed in an organism through the interaction of the genotype and environmental conditions.

The genotype determines the phenotype. The phenotype can change throughout life, but the genotype does not.
