Internecine wars – wars between cities or princes, feudal lords.
In Russia, internecine wars most often took place during the period of fragmentation (11-12 centuries). At these times, Russia was divided into principalities with their own administrative apparatus, which fought among themselves for the right to be the main principality in Russia. In total, during the time of Ancient Rus, there were 4 internecine wars.
