What are ozone and ozone holes?

Ozone is an allotropic modification of oxygen.
(allotropic (allotropy) is the existence of two or more simple substances of the same chemical element)
Ozone holes are local drops in ozone concentration in the Earth’s ozone layer.
Ozone holes are very dangerous.
There are two reasons for the destruction of the ozone layer:
natural (natural processes that cause air pollution);
anthropogenic (due to human influence).
