Ancient India was a rather unique country with a specific culture. In addition, historians often call it “the land of a thousand religions.” The oldest religion in India was Vedic beliefs based on the fact that the earth was created by Brahma. After her, a more perfect religion arose – Brahmanism. Even later, Hinduism emerged in the 1st-5th century. Unlike the religion of ancient Egypt, where Ra was considered the main god, in India there were three supreme deities: Brahma – the creator god, Shiva – the god of war, Vishnu – the keeper of the world.
