What are the characteristics of wind-pollinated plants?

Wind-pollinated plants do not have bright, large and fragrant flowers. Nondescript, usually small flowers, often collected in inflorescences, feathery stigmas, anthers on long hanging filaments, very small, light, dry pollen – all these are adaptations to wind pollination. Wind-pollinated plants often grow in large clusters.
