Complex substances are those substances that consist of two or more atoms of different chemical elements.
The classes of complex substances include:
Oxides are binary compounds, which include oxygen with an oxidation state of -2 (Example: CuO, CO, K2O, BaO, etc.)
Hydroxides or bases are complex compounds that include a hydroxyl group (KOH, Ba (OH) 2, Fe (OH) 3, etc.)
Acids – consist of a hydrogen cation and an acid residue anion (НNO3, H2SO4)
Salts- consist of a metal cation and an acid residue (K2CO3, Ba (NO3) 2)
