What are the consequences of the movement of the Earth around the Sun?

The near-solar rotation of the Earth lasts a year and plays a colossal role for living organisms and climatic phenomena throughout the planet. It is because of this rotation that seasons appear on our planet, temperature and rainfall vary throughout the year. And, since the Earth rotates with an inclination, and not at a right angle to its axis, the seasons do not yet coincide in the northern and southern hemispheres.
