What are the consequences of the Peace of Westphalia?

The Peace of Westphalia was signed in 1648 and was the end of the Thirty Years’ War in the Roman Empire. The main results of this peace agreement: equality of Catholics and Protestants and the proclamation of the principle of religious tolerance, the dominance of Sweden in the Baltic and its control over part of the German lands, the annexation of Alsace to France, the loss of the priority of the German emperor over other rulers of Europe (equality of all heads of independent states of Europe) and the undermining authority of the Holy Roman Empire.
