What are the differences and similarities between sponges and protozoa?

The simplest animals consist of one cell, which is at the same time a whole organism.
Sponges are primitive multicellular animals. The main difference is due to the fact that in a multicellular organism there are several types of cells that perform different functions and have different structures. Sponges:
– flat – cover, protection;
– collar – food;
– amoeboid – transport of substances, reproduction.
In addition, sponges have a liquid – mesoglea and supporting structures called spicules.
