What are the differences between democratic and totalitarian states?

| There are many different differences between democratic and totalitarian states. For example, the most important difference is in the rights of citizens of a country. So in a democratic country, a person has many rights, has the right to receive all information and express a point of view. But in a totalitarian country there is only one point of view – the authorities, and the rest are persecuted. Totalitarianism is characterized by complete control of the country, repression of the unwanted, and dictatorship. A striking example of a totalitarian country can be called the USSR, but democratic France, Great Britain.
