What are the differences between female and male moss?

Mosses spend most of their life cycle in the haploid stage (having only one set of chromosomes), while the diploid stage, which everyone considers normal, is a temporary part of their life.

Therefore, when we want to attribute sex to mosses, we are looking at something other than what we are used to (phenomena are called alternation of generations). The diploid stage, in which meiosis occurs, is not sexual. On the other hand, the haploid stage determines gender.

To determine the sex of the moss, wait while it produces bristles. Plants with bristles are necessarily feminine. The rest are men or women who did not breed that year.
