What are the differences between the October and February revolutions?

Both the February and October revolutions are changes in power, in the structure of the state.

The February revolution was bourgeois-democratic. As a result, the power of the monarch was overthrown, and dual power was established. These are the interim committee of the State Duma and the Soviet of Workers ‘and Soldiers’ Deputies. As a result, the fall of the autocracy opened the way to a democratic perspective for the development of the country.

The rise in prices, speculation, not solving internal problems, as well as miscalculations of the authorities led to a fall in the authority of the monarchy. Mass strikes in factories, dismissal of tens of thousands of workers, lead to a general strike. Government forces are going over to the side of the strikers. And on February 28, the revolution triumphs. The tsar abdicates in favor of his brother Michael.

In October of the same year, a socialist revolution took place, as a result of which Bolshevik rule and changes in the social structure began in Russia, opening the way that led to the creation of the USSR. The provisional government lost its authority. The newspapers publish statements about preparations for a new armed uprising. On October 24, all important points of the city are seized and taken under control. On the night of October 25-26, the Bolsheviks took the Winter Palace and arrested the Provisional Government. On October 26, the II All-Russian Congress of Soviets opened, where 3 decrees were published:

Peace decree (no annexations and indemnities)
Decree on land (its nationalization)
Decree on power (the formation of the Bolshevik bodies of power).
