As a result, political dominance in France passed from the nobility to the bourgeoisie. A new bourgeois monarch appeared in the country – King Louis Philippe. Under the new constitution, the king in France could rule not by divine right, but at the invitation of the French people. Unlike the July monarchy, the restoration regime is actually the restoration of the absolute power of the monarch and the court aristocracy.
