What are the differences between true solution, colloidal solution, lime and suspension?

A colloidal solution, otherwise a sol is a highly dispersed system in which the dispersion medium is presented in the form of a liquid, and the particle size in this medium ranges from 1 to 1000 nm.

A true solution is a type of solution in which the particle size of the solute is small enough to be comparable to the particle size of the solvent.

Suspension is a coarsely dispersed system with a solid dispersed phase (particles larger than 10 microns) and a liquid dispersed medium.

Lime is a mineral that is obtained from carbonate rocks. It mainly consists of CaO, when interacting with water, a lime solution is formed.

Thus, the difference between all these solutions lies in the size of the particles that are exposed to the solvent.
