What are the different ways to study flights?

A simple yet effective way to learn about flying is by ringing. In order to find out the wintering place of birds, individuals are put on rings made of aluminum or other equally light material with the number and name of the city on their legs, and then released. The species name, ring number, ringing date and location are recorded in the register. If a bird with a ring is caught, it is removed and sent to the city indicated on the ring, thereby notifying where and when the bird was caught.
A more modern way is to track bird movements using a navigator that attaches to the back or neck. The radio signal is monitored on an electronic map.
