What are the famous pyramids in Egypt?

The most famous Egyptian pyramids are part of the Giza burial complex. The highest (and oldest) is the pyramid – the tomb of the pharaoh of the ancient kingdom Khufu (Cheops) – it is about 140 meters high and was built in 2600 BC. The next pyramid was built for Pharaoh Khafre (Khafre), and not much lower than its predecessor. And finally, the pyramid of Mikerin is only 62 meters high. In addition to the pyramids, there are small stepped pyramids for Khufu’s wives, and a huge statue of the sphinx.
