What are the features of the development of culture in the XlV – XVl?

Medieval culture in Russia in the 14-16 centuries was built on a combination of pagan customs and Christian traditions. The culture developed mainly in a religious direction. Christianity has become a new storehouse of knowledge and creative impulses. All this was combined with folk art. The main direction in painting was icon painting, frescoes, mosaics. By the end of the 16th century, features of realism appeared, but creativity was far from the true transfer of forms and images. In architecture, projects of temples and cathedrals were popular.
