What are the features of the formation of the Latin American nation?

Latin America is characterized by a long-lasting, for almost five centuries, slow mixing of separate ethnic groups, among which the Spaniards and the Portuguese, various Indian tribes and (to a lesser extent) Negro peoples who arrived on slave-owning ships, are especially distinguished. At the same time, the dominant type of mixing of three completely different races is the mixing of Creoles and local tribes into the Indian type of mestizo.
