What are the features of the Phoenician alphabet?

Its main feature is that vowel sounds were skipped when writing. Here is a simple example – the Phoenicians would have had the Volga river Vlg. Another difference – each letter of the alphabet meant a separate sound. And one more thing – the letters had a simple linear shape that was easy to remember (like modern pictograms, for example).
