What are the functions of the pedicel, receptacle and calyx?

The peduncle, receptacle and calyx are parts of the flower. Each part has its own meaning:
– the stalk attaches the flower to the stem of the plant or to the axis of the inflorescence;
– all parts of the flower are located on the receptacle – the calyx, corolla, stamens and pistil;
– The calyx consists of sepals and protects the main parts of the flower – the pistil and stamens – from dust and wind.
