What are the goals of the Atlantic Charter?

The Atlantic Charter was a key political statement issued during World War II on 08/14/1941, which defined the goals of the Allies in the post-war world. The highest authorities of Great Britain and the United States prepared a project, after which other countries also joined it.
The eight points of the Charter were as follows:
The US or UK should not seek any territorial gain;
territorial adjustments should be in line with the wishes of the peoples concerned;
everyone has the right to self-determination;
trade duties should be reduced;
there must be global economic cooperation and improved social welfare;
participants will work in a world free from desire and fear;
participants will work on freedom of the sea;
pursuing a policy of disarmament.
