What are the good and bad traits in the character of Alexander the Great?

Alexander the Great is the most legendary military leader in the whole world. He managed to create the largest empire.

Macedonian, like all people, possessed positive and negative qualities.

Good traits include:

Courage. During the battles, Alexander the Great was in the vanguard, and did not hide behind other people’s backs. He inspired the soldiers by his example.
Purposefulness. While still young, he was very worried that his father would seize all the lands and he would have nothing to seize. He achieved his childhood dream and built the largest empire in the territory.

Negative features include:

Inability to rule. Immediately after his death, the empire collapsed, as there were no heirs left, and the country was too large.
Inability to choose friends. According to historians, he did not see what was happening under his nose – Alexander was poisoned by the envious people who surrounded him.
