What are the habitats of mammals? What are the most common organizational characteristics associated with the environment
Mammals are found in all environments: land, air, soil, and water. In this regard, they have developed their own adaptations.
1) Land animals have well-developed limbs for movement, developed sense organs. Animals that live in trees (like sloths) have special limbs to hold onto branches.
2) Mammals do not live in the air, but some spend part of their life in it (for example, bats). Because of this, they have small body sizes, thin light bones, wings or special skin folds for gliding in the air.
3) Soil animals have practically lost their sight, but acquired limbs that allow them to break through the soil, as well as good hearing.
4) Aquatic mammals (for example, whales) have a streamlined body, their limbs become like fins.
