Of the family of cereals for humans, the most important are grain crops – rye, wheat, oats, corn, rice, millet. There are two forms of cereals: 1) spring crops, 2) winter crops. The first ones are sown in spring, over the summer they go through all stages of the life cycle and yield a harvest in autumn. Winter cereals are sown in the fall, they germinate before the onset of winter, then in the spring they continue their life cycle and ripen somewhat earlier than spring cereals. Both winter and spring forms are: wheat, rye, barley. All other cereals are only spring cereals. Winter varieties yield more yields.
