The Liliaceae family, monocotyledonous class, has about 4 thousand species. Life forms are perennial plants with bulbs or rhizomes, corms and, less often, tree plants such as aloe, yucca, dracaena, agave, as well as lianas.
Plants of the Liliaceae family are divided into two groups: – medicinal (such as lily of the valley, raven eye); – decorative (such as lilies, tulips, hyacinths).
