What are the main contradictions in relations between European countries in the XVII XVIII centuries?

At the beginning of the 17th century, the main contradiction was the religious issue: Europe was divided into two camps, and the scene of the Thirty Years War, which resulted in the conflict, was the Holy Roman Empire, ruled by the Hapsburgs, against whose strengthening France, England, Sweden and Denmark were opposed.
The result was the hegemony of France on the European continent, which lasted until the middle of the 18th century. In the 18th century, all countries sought to oppose France, both in Europe and in the colonial possessions.
