What are the main tissues?

The main tissues (parenchyma) are the components of the lion’s share of plant organs. Parenchyma fills the spaces between mechanical and conductive tissues. Basic tissues are found in all vegetative as well as generative organs. These types of tissues are formed due to the differentiation of apical meristems. Parenchyma consists of living cells that differ in structure and function. There are such basic tissues: assimilation, aquifer, storage and air parenchyma.
