What are the main horizons in the soil profile?

Horizon A0 is the upper part of the soil profile. Forest litter. It represents fallen plants at various stages of decomposition.
Horizon A – Humus. The most dark-cut. It accumulates organic matter in the form of humus, which is closely related to the mineral part.
Horizon A1 – it contains the largest amount of organic matter. This horizon is mineral-humus-accumulative.
Horizon A2 is podzolic. Formed from acid or alkaline destruction of the mineral part of the A1 horizon.
